brandon aksamitBRANDON AKSAMIT – Play-by-Play – Grand Island (NCN 30)

Brandon graduated with Broadcast Journalism degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in December of 2012 and has worked as a play-by-play announcer, sideline reporter, and show host where he covered collegiate and high school sports for NET, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, and the Nebraska Wesleyan Sports Network. Coming to us from Lincoln, Brandon is an avid soccer fan and follows the English Premier League club Arsenal religiously.

hunterHUNTER ARTERBURN – Play-by-Play – Nebraska City (NCN 1600 AM/105.5 FM)

Hunter is the Operations Manager at News Channel Nebraska in Nebraska City, covering high school athletics in southeast Nebraska, southwest Iowa and northwest Missouri. He started in radio ten years ago as a junior at Sidney High School, before graduating with a broadcasting degree from the University of Nebraska – Kearney in 2012.

Jay is from little Cygnet, Ohio, and out chasing his dreams covering sports in Beatrice, Nebraska. There’s not much more he loves than sports and movies. “I bleed red just like many Husker fans, but a little differently. Go Buckeyes!”



Jon Kipper

JON KIPPER – Play-by-Play – Beatrice (NCN 21)

Based in Falls City, Jon announces sports in southeast Nebraska for NCN 21 and NCN 1600 AM/105.5 FM. He was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska and graduated from Pius X in 2011. Jon received a broadcast journalism degree from UNL where he called numerous Husker athletic events  either on the campus radio station, KRNU, or through the Big 10’s online video network.

ERIC MCKAY – Play-by-Play – Norfolk (NCN 35)

Eric McKay originally hails from Michigan. He spent two years covering news and sports in Humboldt, Iowa before moving to Norfolk, Nebraska, where he’s worked in news and sports since 2010. He’s been named sportscaster of the year in both Nebraska and Iowa, and has won multiple awards for spot news and news reporting. He and his wife Libby have three children: Dante, Zain and Fallon.


GrantGRANT OTTEN – Color Commentator – Columbus (NCN 48)

Grant Otten was raised in Columbus and attended Columbus Public Schools, graduating from CHS in 2009. Grant went on to play college football at UNO and then Wayne State, graduating in 2014 with a degree in Broadcast Communications.


Chris WCHRIS WHITNEY – Color Commentator – Norfolk (NCN 94.7 FM)

Chris Whitney is a 2007 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has spent the past ten years covering high school and college sports. After covering the Nebraska football and basketball teams for seven years in Lincoln, Chris now covers high school football, basketball, and soccer for News Channel Nebraska on television and radio. Outside of the office, Chris loves to play basketball, run, go to the gym, and cheer on the mighty Liverpool FC. He also loves to travel and check out all kinds of concerts. He is a Lincoln native and loves Nebraska


Andy WOlff

ANDREW WOLFF – Play-by-Play – Norfolk (NCN 94.7 FM)

Andrew graduated from Pierce High School in 2011 before attending Northeast Community College where he graduated in May 2013. He’s worked in radio in Nebraska City, Norfolk, and Lincoln as the Husker Sports reporter for KLIN. Andy loves the Chicago Bulls, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Royals, and, of course, the Huskers.
