NEBRASKA CITY – The National Weather Service issued a new flood warning for Cass County at 6:15 a.m. on Saturday as the level of the Platte River continues to rise.
The flood warning includes the Platte River river Louisville, where the water was 3.4 feet above flood stage of 9 feet.
Record flooding is occurring and record flooding is forecast.
The river will continue to rise to near 12.5 feet by Saturday afternoon. At 12 feet, widespread flooding will occur as the river spreads out horizontally across the flood plain.
