The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla., has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 1 a.m. for 36 Nebraska counties, including southeast Nebraska.
The watch was effective at 6:38 p.m.
Weather radar at 7:46 p.m., shows a storm system developing near Concordia, Kan. Accuweather forecast shows that line of storms reaching Otoe County around 11 p.m.
Chances of rain diminish below 20 percent by 3 a.m.
A wind advisory is in effect for Cass County until Thursday morning.
Blizzard warnings are expected for 14 Nebraska counties, including Buffalo; Dawson; Furnas; Gosper; Greeley; Howard; Phelps; Sherman and Valley.
