Vaughn Endorses Stradtman To Fill Falls City Council Seat

FALLS CITY – Former City Councilman John Vaughn is giving his endorsement to Terry Lee Stradtman to fill his seat on the council.

Vaughn, a former utilities worker, represented the third ward for three years before moving out of state and resigning the post.

He met Stradtman, who filed for election on Dec. 1, playing pitch at the senior center. He said he values her friendship and is impressed with her understanding of government.

Vaughn: “She’s level headed and I think she would study the issues and vote, not how everyone wants her to, but how she wants to. She would vote with Falls City’s best interest at heart.”

The agenda for Monday night’s city council meeting includes Mayor Jerry Oliver’s appointment of Mitch Merz to the seat. The term expires next November.
