AUBURN – Election of officers and resignation of a principal are on the agenda for the Auburn School Board’s meeting at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 14.
The agenda includes the resignation of elementary school principal Jacquelyn Kelsay.
In a letter to the board, Kelsay expresses appreciation for her six years in the school district and says her difficult decision to resign will allow her more family time.
In her monthly report, Kelsay noted success for the Calvert Book Fairs over the past six years. Book sales have grown from $11,000 in 2013 to over $21,000 in 2018.
Kelsay said proceeds have paid for eight iPads, three new rolling book carts and many new books.
The Coins Count Contest raised $2,412 this year to buy books for families that were given away around Christmas time.
The school board is scheduled to elect the 2019 board president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer.
Representatives of Teammates are scheduled visitors.
