Binder Buzzer-Beater Propels Auburn to Semis
Auburn defeated GICC 44-42 on Thursday morning.

LINCOLN – The Auburn Bulldogs are on to the state semis for the first time since 1985 thanks to some last second heroics.

Sophomore Cameron Binder hit a buzzer-beater as time expired to give Auburn a 44-42 victory over Grand Island Central Catholic in the first round of the Class C1 State Tournament at the Bob Delaney Sports Center on Thursday morning.

The Bulldogs will take on the winner of Wahoo and Boys Town in the semis on Friday morning at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
