PERU – Peru State College student Bailey Bindle met with the First Lady of the United States while attending a Students Against Destructive Decisions conference in Washington, D.C.
When First Lady Melania Trump arrived, students were creating tie blankets.
Bindle said Trump walked up to her moments after arriving and asked about what the students were doing.
Bindle said she asked how to make a blanket, so she demonstrated the tie technique.
Bindle, national vice president of communications for the Students Against Destructive Decisions advisory council, was among 17 students to meet the First Lady during her “Be Best” campaign.
