Blair takes two from Nebraska City

BLAIR, Neb. – Nebraska City’s Snezhana Serafimoska had a game-high 11 points for Nebraska City, but it wasn’t enough as the Pioneers fell to Blair Friday night, 45-32, at Blair High School.

Sophia Grantham led the Bears with 11 points and helped Blair improve to 6-4. Nebraska City drops to 4-8.

Blair controlled the boys game from the tip, going on a 17-0 run to begin the contest. The Bears forced a running clock in the second half and went on to win, 66-27.

Blair had three players in double-figures. Joe Manchester led all-scores with 14 points, Colby Camelin added 13 and Ryan Brunkhorst scored 10.

Nebraska City was led by the 7 points from Eli Southard.

The Bears improve to 6-3, while the Pioneers fall to 1-10.

Blair hosts Council Bluff Abraham Lincoln on Saturday and Nebraska City goes on the road again to pay a visit to Auburn.
