Counterfeit Suspects Caught In Missouri

NEBRASKA CITY – Otoe County officials say suspects in Nebraska City counterfeiting crimes have been arrested in Missouri.

Police say two suspects passed fake $50 bills at the Fort Western Store and Tractor Supply stores on Dec. 3.

Holt County officials arrested 35-year-old Johnny Crump and 23-year-old Kyra Burke, both of Omaha.

Police suspect the couple used three counterfeit bills to obtain merchandise at the Fort Store in Nebraska City and later attempted to return the item for cash in St. Joseph, Mo.
