Defending Champ Lincoln Christian Too Much for Auburn Girls

LINCOLN, Neb. – The defending state champions just had too much firepower for the Auburn Lady Bulldogs on Thursday.

Lincoln Christian defeated Auburn 47-33 in the first round of the state tournament in Lincoln.

The game was tight early, but the Crusaders went on an 11-0 2nd quarter run to take a 10-point halftime lead. They expanded that lead as the second half progressed.

The Crusaders got big games from Chloe Dworak, 15 points, and Emily Hollenbeck, 14 points, in the victory.

Ashley Teten scored 15 points for Auburn.
