FALLS CITY – Falls City police and 42 other law enforcement agencies across Nebraska joined in a national crack down on impaired driving.
Through a Highway Safety Office grant, extra officers worked during a two-week period that included the solar eclipse, Falls City’s Cobblestone Festival and Labor Day weekend.
Falls City officers conducted high visibility enforcement and had 182 contacts.
There were 22 citations and 14 warnings for speeding and 19 warnings for equipment violations.
There were 10 citations for no valid registration, five for driving without a license, two drug violations, two open container violations a driving while suspended and one felony arrest.
There were a number of other warnings.
