Food Frontier Panelists Set For Film Showing At Nebraska City

NEBRASKA CITY – Food Frontiers is the topic of a film showing and discussion panel scheduled at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Kimmel Education and Research Center in Nebraska City.

Mark Winne, national food policy council writer, will lead the discussion.

Panelists include representatives of Bryan Medical Center, Center for Rural Affairs, UNO food systems, No More Empty Pots and Nebraska-Lincoln Extension.

The documentary is part of the FoodSpan curriculum  at the John Hopkins University Center for a Livable Future.

Extension Educator Rex Nelson said those attending will learn about innovative approaches to increase access to local and healthy foods, discuss strengthening Nebraska’s food systems and learn about the Nebraska Food Council.
