Garth Brooks will play five concerts in Lincoln.
Tickets to see the country superstar play Pinnacle Bank Arena went on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, and within 30 minutes, one initial concert had expanded to a run of five.
Brooks will perform at 7 p.m. Oct. 20, 3 and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 21 and 3 and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22.
Some cities on his world tour have hosted as many as 11 concerts from Brooks, who has toured with his wife, Trisha Yearwood, since 2014.
He played six concerts in Omaha in May 2015, and on Friday he began a run of nine shows in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Brooks’ Lincoln concerts will be his last shows in the Midwest, his publicist said.
Brooks, who won Entertainer of the Year at the 2016 CMA Awards, last played Lincoln in 1997, when he played five straight concerts.
Ticketmaster’s site took longer than normal to respond as soon as tickets went on sale, but had rebounded about an hour later.
Tickets, $74.98, are still on sale and available for all five concerts via Ticketmaster or the venue box office.
