Inclement weather in forecast forcing changes to Friday night football

The threat of showers and thunderstorms on Friday night is causing area activities directors to make adjustments to this week’s high school football schedule.

According to the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms are possible virtually all day Friday, with the greatest risk of 60% chance of moisture after 5 p.m. The chances go up to 90% on Friday night. Highs Friday are expected to be around 67 with a low of 47.

  • Lourdes Alumni & Friends Tailgate – CANCELLED (Alumni are invited to join the school after the football game for the 5th Quarter social at Table Creek Clubhouse and Golf Course)
  • 1973 State Championship Football Team & Fans will be recognized at halftime of the football game, along with the king and queen coronation.

BDS at HTRS – moved to 3 p.m. Friday

Johnson County Central at Freeman – moved to 5:30 p.m. on Friday

Elmwood-Murdock at Southern – moved to 5 p.m. on Friday

Conestoga at Malcolm – moved to 6 p.m. Friday
