Nemaha County Fair Schedule: Parade Features Freaky Friday Theme

AUBURN – The Nemaha County Fair parade is scheduled on Friday the 13th with the theme of “Freaky Friday.”

Theresa Shelton reports 74 entries for the parade starting at the courthouse square and going to within a block of the fairgrounds.

Prizes for first, second and third places will be given to floats in coordination with the fair theme.

The fair starts Thursday with the River City Carnival and Lil Orv’s Carving.

Thursday events:

  • 8 a.m., horse show
  • 10 a.m., 4-H archery
  • 1 p.m., Sheep, meat goat shows
  • 4 p.m.,Rabbit show
  • 6 p.m., ATV and tractor driving contest

Friday events:

  • 8 a.m., swine show
  • 9 a.m., BB gun contest
  • 2 p.m., poultry show
  • 7:30 p.m., goat show
  • 8 p.m., pioneer farm family awards
  • 8 p.m., ventriloquist Kevin Horner

Saturday events:

  • 8 a.m., beef show
  • 12:30 p.m., 4-H awards photo
  • 1 p.m., livestock judging
  • 3:30 p.m., Colors Da Clown
  • 6:15 p.m., Little Tuggers
  • 7:15 p.m., Ag Olympics
  • 9 p.m., Dylan Bloom band
  • Sunday, July 15
  • 1:30 p.m., McIninch trophy
  • 2 p.m., livestock auction
  • 3:30 p.m., chain saw wood sculpture auction
