No. 4 Wahoo tops No. 6 Syracuse for conference crown

VALLEY – The Syracuse volleyball team, ranked No. 6 in the latest World-Herald News Service rankings, suffered just their second loss of the season Saturday in the championship match of the Nebraska Capitol Conference Tournament.

The Rockets, who hit a season low .083, lost in straight sets to No. 4 Wahoo, 25-20, 25-17, 25-21, at Douglas County West High School in Valley.

Jessie Moss led the team with 12 kills. Brooke Snyder had 25 assists.

Warriors freshman Mya Larson had a game-high 16 kills.

Syracuse is now 20-2 this fall and hosts Arlington on Tuesday in the final home match of the year. First serve on parents night is set for 7 p.m.

Wahoo improves to 23-2 and will next be in action at Bennington on Tuesday.
