Omaha Performing Arts names Lourdes teacher its Outstanding Educator

NEBRASKA CITY – Lourdes Central Catholic educator Lesley Gould will be honored at the Nebraska High School Theatre Awards Showcase on June 8 at the Orpheum Theatre in Omaha.

Gould was announced as the Outstanding Educator this week by the Omaha Performing Arts.

The Nebraska High School Theatre Awards program is in its fifth year and  has expanded to include more than 70 schools from the entire state of Nebraska with more than 7,000 students participating this year. The NHSTA supports and celebrates musical theater education in Nebraska high schools.

Nebraska City Lourdes students, Piper Monson and Luke Partsch, have also been selected to perform in the Showcase Ensemble at the awards.

Monson and Partsch, along with other performers, will work with leading local musicians, professional music directors and a NYC-based choreographer during the week leading up to the awards show.
