Parade Sets Up Final Night At 94th Sidney Rodeo

SIDNEY – Rainfall greeted the parade line-up Saturday prior to the final 2017 performance of the Sidney Iowa Championship Rodeo, but it didn’t stop hundreds of people to gather around the town square.

The parade featured members of the Williams Jobe Gibson American Legion, which sponsored the 94th annual rodeo, and other veterans. It also featured members of the Two County Dusters Drill Team and Miss Sidney Rodeo 2017 Andrea Glick.

She is the daughter of Kathy Glick of Mount Pleasant, Iowa. She attended Kirkwood Community College and will attend the University of Northern Iowa this fall.

Standing in the rain prior to the parade, helped the Sidney Marching Band get in tune. Moments after the band started its march, the rain stopped.
