Police Respond To Crashes After Spring Snow

NEBRASKA CITY – Police responded to several accidents over the Easter Weekend and two more early Tuesday morning.

A Nissan Altima driven by 35-year-old Louisa Homan of Nebraska City slid on ice and struck the guardrail on the 11th Street viaduct. Nebraska City Rescue checked her out, but she refused transport to the hospital.

The owner of mobile home at Park EZ reported that a small, dark-colored car toppled a light pole at the corner of the mobile home on Saturday.

Nebraska City Fire and Rescue responded to injury accidents at the same time. The first  was near Hayward School at 15th Street, where a nine-year-old sustained minor injuries.

The other was a minor accident on north 16th Street.
