Richardson County “Hardens” Courthouse Entry

FALLS CITY – The Richardson County Sheriff’s Office will supervise new security measures at the courthouse that includes metal detectors and a single point of entry.

The metal detector will be placed at the south, handicapped entrance of the courthouse. It will be the only point of entry. All other doors will remain locked from the outside.

The public will not be allowed to bring in firearms or any other weapon. Patrons are advised to leave pocket knives, other sharp tools, pepper spray and personal defense items in their vehicles.

Courthouse employees, law enforcement and judges are exempt.
