Richardson County Reports Success Over Courthouse Leakage
2014 tour

FALLS CITY – Richardson County EMA Director Brian Kirkendall told county commissioners Tuesday that the water leakage issues at the courthouse have been resolved.

Commissioners toured the lower level near the Emergency Management office three years ago, where there was damage to ceiling tiles in the main hallway of the 1983 addition to the courthouse.

Emergency management also found rust and mold in a storage room blamed on two decades of moisture.

Some improvements were made for rainwater drainage from the concrete walkway and grass area above the addition.

Additional caulking has recently been applied and Kirkendall said it appears to have solved the remaining problems.
