Auburn senior Baily Darnell committed to South Dakota State on June 22, but he is keeping his options open.

He recently received a scholarship offer from Wyoming, his first from an FBS program. Darnell also has a preferred walk-on offer from Nebraska, Iowa State has asked him to take an unofficial game-day visit and Colorado State has shown recent interest.

“I am planning on signing in December and will make my ultimate decision before then,” Darnell said.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound athlete lead the Bulldogs in rushing (1,253 yards), receiving (460 yards) and touchdowns (18). He also had 63 tackles and one interception as a defensive back.

Schools are recruiting Darnell as a safety, including South Dakota State.

“I love the coaches and program and everything in Brookings is awesome,” Darnell said. “They have a great family atmosphere.”
