Teten Plans Arbor Psychiatric Wellness Center

NEBRASKA CITY – City commissioners approved $80,000 from the Nebraska City Growth Fund to help establish Arbor Psychiatric and Wellness Center at 1120 Sixth Corso.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Lindsey Teten, who has been contracting with CHI St. Mary’s Hospital since 2015 and has hours at the clinic two days a week, said it is clear there is a need for mental health services in the community.

Teten: “This will allow us growth in, not only my own schedule, increasing the flexibility and availability I have, so patients don’t have to wait as long to get in for their first appointments, as well as bringing in other providers who specialize in mental health services.”

She said Arbor Psychiatric and Wellness Center will provide a base for her and local therapists, who now travel out of town.

Teten is remodeling the former restaurant into a fully-functional office with room for four providers and a space for group sessions.

She is hoping to be up and running by October.
