Video Special: Toyota Escapes 11th Street Snowbank

NEBRASKA CITY – This weekend’s “zero to 50 inches” winter storm finished closer to the zero end on the snow accumulation scale, but did present its share of traffic predicaments in Nebraska City.

Nebraska City Fire and Rescue responded to an injury accident Sunday night.

A 2012 Ford Focus driven by 26-year-old Amber Lee Perritte slid off of an icy 11th Corso and came to rest on the railroad tracks.

Snow cover is also blamed for a south 16th Street accident. A 2002 Ford Mustang driven by 20-year-old Jacob Homan slid off the road near Sixth Corso and hit a tree.

Watch what happens when the police show up for a stuck car on 11th Street near the viaduct.
