Nebraska soccer scores with one minute left in regulation, draws with Michigan

LINCOLN — Nebraska scored in the final minute of regulation Friday to even its match with Michigan, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Michigan scored in the eighth minute to take a 1-0 lead.

The Huskers came out firing in the second half and outshot the Wolverines 7-2. But they couldn’t connect until 41 seconds left in regulation, when Sinclaire Miramontez scored the equalizer for her second goal of the season.

Nebraska and Michigan played two scoreless overtime periods before the game ended in a tie.

The Huskers will host Michigan State at 1:05 p.m. Sunday.
