Nebraska women’s soccer falls to Wisconsin as Badgers stretch unbeaten streak to seven games

MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin stretched its unbeaten streak to seven games as the Badgers edged Nebraska 1-0 in women’s soccer Thursday night.

The lone goal came midway through the first half as Lauren Rice converted a pass from Victoria Pickett. It was Rice’s seventh goal this season.

Faith Carter and Brenna Ochoa each had two shots on goal for Nebraska, which outshot the Badgers 9-8. Aubrei Corder finished the night with two saves for the Huskers.

Nebraska drops to 8-5-4 as it’s 0-2-2 over its last four matches. The Huskers return home to play Illinois at 1 p.m. Sunday.​
