Nebraska junior quarterback Tanner Lee is in concussion protocol and questionable for Saturday’s game at Penn State. Lee left Saturday’s 54-21 loss at Minnesota with what was called an “impact migraine.” Redshirt freshman Patrick O’Brien is working as the starting quarterback in practice.
“He has played a lot and a decision about him can be made later when he is cleared if it is in time”, said Nebraska coach Mike Riley. “We are practicing Patrick O’Brien as if he is going to start.”
The Huskers are 4-6 and after giving up 409 yards of rushing to Minnesota the Huskers are now faced with trying to slow down one of the nation’s top running backs in Saquon Barkley.
“He is definitely in that discussion”, added Riley. “I don’t know enough about all the other players to say he is the best in the country but I would like to see better.”
