After Saturday Night Layer, SE Nebraska Could be In For More Shoveling

BEATRICE – Southeast Nebraska received another layer of snow Saturday night, as an inch of the white stuff added to three inches that fell on Friday.

The snow fell early Saturday night, but ended prior to Sunday morning.  The next blast of winter weather could come by mid-week, with some southeast Nebraska areas expected to receive from three to seven inches of snow.

On Monday, a winter storm watch was in effect for much of Iowa and far northern Missouri.  Some southwest Iowa areas were expected to receive from five to six inches of snow.

Early week high temperatures in southern Nebraska were expected to reach the lower to mid twenties, with lower to mid thirty degree readings by the end of the week.
