Assault On Officer Charge Dropped Against Falls City Woman

FALLS CITY – A 31-year-old Falls City woman was sentenced to 18 months probation for resisting arrest as charges of assault on Police Officer Millie King were dropped.

As part of the probation sentence, Colby Elms is ordered to obtain a mental health abuse evaluation.

In other court action, an arrest warrant was issued Tuesday for 44-year-old Thomas Chapple of Falls City.

Court records say Thomas did not appear for a settlement conference. He is charged with getting angry after his vehicle hit ramps that were being used to load a trailer on his property. An arrest affidavit says he threatened to harm people who were loading the trailer.

Chapple was booked into the Richardson County jail on Thursday on a warrant for terroristic threats and willful reckless driving.
