BEATRICE – A former chamber of commerce staff member and Gage County Tourism Director has been named the new Executive Director for the Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce.
Angie Bruna was selected by the chamber’s board of directors, to fill a vacancy left by the resignation of Lora Young.
Chamber Board President Karen Stohs says Bruna is “the perfect person” for the job, and will begin her new duties, May 29th.

Stohs said Bruna’s prior five years of experience with the chamber and county tourism and experience with special events were key factors along with her experience in marketing. Bruna has recently been employed as a marketing assistant for Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center.
Stohs says Bruna will oversee day-to-day operations of the organization and focus on membership services among other things.

A major event coming up for the chamber during June, is the Homestead Days celebration, beginning June 20th.
