Beatrice Man Charged With Attempted Murder, Bound Over to District Court
Scene of shooting, along Southwest 32nd

BEATRICE – A rural Beatrice man charged with attempted murder has waived preliminary hearing in Gage County Court.

33-year-old Nathan King will face arraignment June 20th, in Gage County District Court.   He is charged with attempted second-degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony, second degree assault and making a terroristic threat.

The charges stem from the March 11th shooting of 23-year-old Boston Bieler, at a rural home along Southwest 32nd Road.

Authorities allege King had gotten into an argument with Bieler on the front porch of the home.  Investigators say King is believed to have threatened Bieler with a handgun.  Authorities say King went back into his residence, allegedly firing one shot from the handgun through the front door.  The bullet went through glass in the door and struck Bieler in the neck.  Earlier, prosecutors said Bieler suffers from paralysis, from the shooting.
