Beatrice Officials Approve Another Store Front Project

BEATRICE – Another downtown Beatrice business has reached agreement with the City of Beatrice on a façade improvement loan, through a state block grant program.

The city council approved the $10,000 to make building front improvements at Uhl’s Sporting Goods, owned by Dave and Beth Sederberg.  City Administrator Tobias Tempelmeyer says the project is among the final projects recommended for approval by a committee that reviews grant applications, and was confirming the building plan was approved by the state historic preservation office.

The business is located at 204 North 5th, across 5th Street east of the police department.

Tempelmeyer says there are three pending applications elected officials may consider in the future, pending approval by the property owners.
