BEATRICE – The Beatrice Public School system will be losing another top administrator.
Director of Financial and Business Affairs, John Brazell plans to leave the district at the end of the current school year. His resignation was accepted by the District 15 Board of Education, Monday night. Brazell told KWBE he hopes to find a new position elsewhere in education, because he says he enjoys working with kids.
After starting as a teacher, Brazell was a school administrator in Anita, Iowa where he worked for three years, and was Superintendent at Freeman Public Schools at Adams, where he served seven years. He’s been with the Beatrice Public School District since 2010.
In recent weeks, the Beatrice School Board has begun initial consideration of administration restructuring options, with plans to hire a new school superintendent late this year.
Retiring Beatrice School Superintendent Pat Nauroth says a special meeting is coming up soon, in the process to find his replacement.
:10 “superintendent position”
Nauroth will be leaving the district at the end of next June.
This Friday is the deadline for applicants for District 15 Superintendent, to have materials submitted to a search firm aiding the school system in finding a new leader.
