PLATTSMOUTH – A burglary investigation in rural Cass County, led to two arrests on drug charges Saturday morning.
A farmer reported a suspicious vehicle at his neighbor’s place and deputies arrived to find 21-year-old Ryan Peters of Omaha and 23-year-old Lauren Winscot of Plattsmouth.
Deputies learned that Peters had a suspended license and Winscot had an active warrant for her arrest out of Sarpy County.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies located suspected paraphernalia and illegal drugs, as well as a replica handgun.
Peters was booked on charges including trespassing and possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.
Two baggies of suspected illegal drugs were found in Winscot’s property and will be sent to the crime lab for identification.
