Celebrate Johnson 150 Announcing New Events

JOHNSON – The Johnson Chamber of Commerce reports progress on the village’s 150th year celebration.

Activities and events planned so far include an obstacle course, water tag game, rock climbing wall, miniature golf and dunk tanks.

Games will be on Main Street from noon to 4 p.m. on chicken barbecue Sunday.

Another new event is the BMX bike riders from Unadilla. Stunt shows are scheduled on Sunday.

Whiskey Run Creek of Brownville is organizing a wine tasting.

The 150 years committee will meet Feb. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the library.

Monthly activities are also being planned beginning Monday, Feb. 18.

Humanities Nebraska speaker Dan Holtz will be at the new gymnasium at 10 a.m.
