Church’s Patriotic Service Highlights Bomb Wing Veteran

JOHNSON – Military veterans, active service men and women, deceased veterans’ families and the general public are invited to the 2019 Patriotic Worship Service at Martin Luther Lutheran Church.

The service, which is held to honor the military men and women who have protected our nation’s freedoms, begins at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 19. The church is located five miles south of Johnson on Highway 105.

A recorded video interview of WW II veteran, Lyle Droge of Pawnee City, will be presented. Droge flew 26 missions with the 57th Bomb Wing.

The families of Leonard Meyer, Arnold Dieckhoff, and LaVern Dieckhoff (uncle and nephews) will receive the flags folded in honor of their father’s and brothers’ service to our country.
Following the Patriotic Worship Service, a dinner at no charge will be served.
