City of Peru lifts boil water notice

UPDATE – City officials in Peru have lifted the Boil Water Notice. The water main break the city suffered on Tuesday night has been repaired and water is safe to consume again without having to boil it.


PERU – Residents in Peru may experience low to no water pressure Tuesday night while city crews work on a water main break.

The break happened at the corner of 5th St. and Main St.

City officials are advising residents to boil water before consumption until the the issue is resolved. They will notify the public once the break has been repaired.
