Columbus Man Accused of Meth and Concealed Gun Possession
Ezequiel Arrez Jr.

COLUMBUS, Neb. – A Columbus man was arrested last week after police say they found meth and a concealed handgun inside his vehicle.

28-year-old Ezequiel Arrez Jr. is accused of felony meth possession and misdemeanor – carrying a concealed weapon.

Court documents say Arrez was driving in Schuyler with two other men when he was pulled over for failing to display a front license plate.

Records say during the stop, the officer asked Arrez to get out of the vehicle and when the door opened, the officer saw a handgun magazine with bullets in the door console.

Documents say police later found a gun in the center console, along with meth paraphernalia on all three men. Baggies of meth were also found in the SUV, according to court records.

The two other men, 36-year-old Jose Nilo and 27-year-old Irvin Alvarez were also cited for possession of meth.
