NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City Crime Stoppers are seeking public assistance to solve vandalism at Thurman’s Bike and Sport at 11th Street and Second Corso.

A pellet or bb gun has been used to shoot and damage windows.   Police say the vandalism has caused the owners great expense in repairs.

Nebraska City  Crime Stoppers and the business owner have agreed to combine their rewards for information leading to the arrest of the responsible party.

Police have also taken a report of copper pipes stolen from the old St. Mary’s Hospital property on 13th Street. It was more recently learned that copper pipes have also been taken from the old Duff’s Nursing Home on 12th Street.

Police are also investigating thefts of TVs and other electronics from campers and motor homes. These theft have occurred primarily in the south and east parts of town.

Cars have been broken into and a space heater was stolen from the housing under construction near the new hospital.
