Dawson Man Accused Of False Gun Purchase Application

FALLS CITY – A Dawson man faces a felony charge in Richardson County regarding a firearm purchase permit.

Deputy Richardson County Attorney Zachary Blackman filed a charge of providing false information against 61-year-old Michael L. Ruch.

Court records say Ruch filled out an application to buy a firearm at the lobby of the Richardson County Law Enforcement Center, but indicated that he had never been convicted of a felony. Blackman says he was convicted of forgery in 1983.

The gun purchase was denied.
