LOUISVILLE – Cass County Sheriff William Brueggemann reports a medical emergency at the Ash Grove Cement plant in Louisville.

Louisville Rescue and Cass County Emergency Management medics were dispatched Saturday afternoon to an unresponsive male. The call was soon upgraded to CPR in progress.

Louisville Rescue transported 61-year-old David Soban of Oklahoma to Midlands Hospital, but life saving attempts were unsuccessful.

A sheriff’s office press release says witnesses at Ash Grove told investigators that Soban was just returning from break when he collapsed to the ground.

The sheriff says the cause of Soban’s death is unknown and an autopsy has been ordered by Cass County Attorney Colin Palm.
