Deer, Not Blizzard Linked To Otoe County Accidents

NEBRASKA CITY – Otoe County officials report multiple traffic accidents last week involving deer, but few linked to Sunday’s blizzard.

Tonya Sandfort of Brock reported her GMC Utility vehicle slid on Highway 67 in Dunbar and a KIA Optima driven by Anthony Hensley of Syracuse.

A Lincoln man struck a deer with his full-sized van on Highway 2 near Nebraska City.

Sara Crook of Peru hit a deer with her Buick utility vehicle on Highway 75 south of Nebraska City.

Trisha Garday of Cook struck a deer on the J. Sterling Morton Beltway with her Cadillac SRX.

Elizabeth Patterson of Nebraska City hit a deer with her Ford Focus on Highway 2 at Nebraska City. Damage required her vehicle to be towed.

A Nissan Sentra driven by William Werner of Lincoln and a Ford sedan driven by Randall Danielson of Nebraska City collided at low-speeds on Highway 2  west of Unadilla.

Police report that a 2004 Chevrolet Impala driven by Karen Borrego slid on ice on 12th Street and hit a parked car.
