Douglas Homicide Suspect Waives Extradition From California

NEBRASKA CITY- The suspect in a double homicide at Douglas, Neb., on March 23 has waived extradition from California and is awaiting transport back to Nebraska.

Brindar Jangir, 36, is charged in Otoe County with the first degree murders of Randal and Annette Grimes, who are the parents of his former live-in girlfriend at Sioux City, Iowa.

He is also charged in Lancaster County with stealing a shotgun hours before the shooting deaths in Douglas.

Otoe County Sheriff Colin Caudill said the investigation into the homicides is ongoing.

US Customs and Border Protection agents arrested Jangir March 30 as he attempted to re-enter the United States near San Diego.
