TECUMSEH – The Nemaha Natural Resources District is planning to open the gates to the new Duck Creek Recreation Area at noon on Monday, April 16.
Nebraska Game and Parks has stocked the 60-acre lake with largemouth bass, bluegill and catfish. The grounds also feature camping pads, boat dock, playground, concrete trails and restrooms.
A formal grand opening and dedication ceremony is scheduled on Saturday, June 2, with a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m.
Duck Creek Recreation Area is located east of Highway 75 on Nemaha County’s Road 736. NRD vehicle permit is required.
