Emergency management reporting levee breech near Craig, Mo.

CRAIG – A levee breech near Craig, Missouri has forced the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill to issue a flash flood warning for northwestern Holt County until 2:30 p.m.

Emergency management officials reported the breech on the northwest side of Craig at 10:23 a.m. Wednesday.

A second evacuation notice is in place for the entire town. Flood waters are expected to quickly inundate the town and surrounding areas.

The warning also includes Interstate 29 between mile markers 87 and 95.

The Holt County Sheriff’s Office evacuated Craig, Missouri Tuesday afternoon due to rising flood waters.
