BEATRICE – Southeast Community College and the school’s Faculty Association have reached agreement on a new three-year contract for instructors. It covers nearly 350 full-time employees of the community college and was finalized 130 days ahead of the college conversion to the semester system.
SCC Vice President of Human Resources, Bruce Tangeman says the faculty association has approve the agreement which extends to July 1st, 2022.
Salary and benefit levels are set annually, based on the midpoint of community colleges in Nebraska. Negotiations on the agreement began last summer.
SCC will begin using the semester system on August 26th, after years of using a college calendar based on quarters.
