Falls City Man Accused Of Fishing Pole Disturbance

FALLS CITY – A Falls City man is scheduled for preliminary hearing Oct. 10 on charges including resisting arrest, assault on an officer and disturbing the peace.

An arrest affidavit says Falls City police responded to a July 3 disturbance on Chase Street.

Witnesses told police that 29-year-old Jefrey Morley had used a fishing pole to hit a door and a resident after he was removed from the house.

A police officer says Morley resisted arrest to the point that he caused both himself and the police officer to fall back on the ground.
