FALLS CITY – Falls City Middle School has $1,000 in grant money thanks to ‘The Kids Bowl Free Grant.’
Over the summer, the Richardson Foundation helped fund a bowling program that allowed for 40 family passes and 437 student passes, that allowed for students to bowl for free over the summer. From there, Sara Rue from Falls City Lanes, nominated the school in the hopes they’d receive a grant.
FCMS was one of 50 schools awarded the grant, out nearly 18,000 schools.
Middle school Principal Rick Johnson, says the school is going to use the money to support it’s PBIS program (Positive Behavior Intervention Support). Which includes purchasing microphones for it’s new sound system in the gym.
Some of the funds will also be spent on awards for high achieving students.
