Falls City Sixpence Program Planning New Toddler Playground, Possibly Near South School

FALLS CITY – A new toddler playground is currently in the works in Falls City.

Falls City superintendent Tim Heckenlively said on Monday evening that the Falls City Sixpence program has secured funding for a new playground for toddlers.

The project, which has been planned for months, will likely take place on the south side of South School. That location provides a minimal slope and easy access for construction crews, as well as parents, upon completion.

The entire playground will be funded by the Sixpence Childcare Partnership Endowment fund. No timeline has been set for completion.

Renderings of the playground were provided at the Falls City School Board meeting on Monday.
