Falls City Teacher Advances In STEM Teaching Program

FALLS CITY – Fourth Grade Teacher Leigh Anne Blankenship updated the Falls City School Board Monday on the district’s NebraskaSTEM academic program.

Blakenship, who was accepted into the NebraskaSTEM Noyce Master Teacher program at the University of Lincoln last May, said NebraskaSTEM integrates science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Its objective is increasing student interest and success by integrating STEM teaching and learning.

Ms. Blankenship is on track to join a nationwide community of Noyce Master Teaching Fellows, said Superintentendent Tim Heckenlively.
